Toddler Aftercare

Hours: 3:00-5:30

This job will work in our toddler environment with children 18 months- 3 years of age.  Duties will consist of ensuring the children get an afternoon snack, diaper changes/ toileting assistance, emotional support to the chidlren, and enjoyment of working with the very young.   The work is done in accordance with the Walnut Farm Montessori School mission, the principles of Montessori educational philosophy and practices, after care curriculum and the policies of Walnut Farm Montessori School.  

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Must be at least 18 years old and comply with the DHS requirements in the State of Arkansas
  • Strong work ethic, a sense of humor and passion for respectfully supporting young children

Montessori Credentialed Elementary Teacher

Hours: a minimum of 40 hours per week

Montessori Credentialed Elementary Teacher

Walnut Farm Montessori School is seeking an AMS or MACTE credentialed Elementary teacher to help grow our Lower Elementary (6-9 year-old) program. We will consider sending the right candidate to training. We are committed to the work of anti-bias/ anti-racism. This is an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to serve at an AMS accredited school with experienced Montessori teachers and staff. We have a beautiful 6-acre campus with a large porch and labyrinth right outside our Elementary building, as well as a nature area and outdoor classroom shared with our primary students.  

The position is for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond.  

Compensation

Bachelor’s Degree

Preferences:
Strong work ethic- willingness to work hard with the team, sense of humor and passion for working with Elementary aged children, two years teaching experience, preferably Montessori

Spanish Teacher

Hours: part-time, some flexibility in schedule

Walnut Farm Montessori School is seeking a Spanish teacher to work with students 18 months- 9 years of age.  We are committed to the work of anti-bias/ anti-racism. We seek to hire individuals who will help us diversify our staff and community!

This position would give small and large group lessons depending on the age of the children. Experience working with young children a must, experience working at a Montessori school a plus!

Requirements:

  • Fluent Spanish speaker
  • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Must be at least 18 years old and comply with the DHS requirements in the State of Arkansas
  • Strong work ethic, a sense of humor and passion for respectfully supporting young children
