    Walnut Farm is located in Bentonville; a beautiful town in Northwest Arkansas of approximately 50,000 residence. We are home to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Amazeum children’s museum, an art and food district, world class mountain biking and hiking trails that provide picturesque scenes of deciduous trees and clear streams, and a greenway connecting us to other local cities. We are also close to state parks and the Buffalo River National Park.

    Positions:

    Montessori Credentialed Elementary Guide/ Teacher:

    Walnut Farm Montessori School is seeking an AMS or MACTE credentialed Elementary teacher to help grow our Elementary program. This position will collaborate with our current elementary teachers to foster our growing program. We are committed to the work of anti-bias/ anti-racism.     This is an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to serve at an AMS accredited school with experienced Montessori teachers and staff. We have a beautiful 6-acre campus with a large porch and labyrinth right outside our Elementary building, as well as a nature area and outdoor classroom shared with our primary students. We will provide $10,000 to assist with relocation to Northwest Arkansas.

    The position is for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.

    Experience:

    • Montessori Elementary: 3 years (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    Outdoor Classroom Assistant and Support:

    Hours: 7:30-3:30

    This teacher will work in conjunction with the Outdoor Education and Classroom teams to nurture and support children ages 3-12 years of age. This work is largely done outside in a beautiful outdoor classroom space that is filled with gardens and natural elements. The work is done in accordance with the Walnut Farm Montessori School mission, the principles of Montessori educational philosophy and practices, the outdoor classroom and after care curriculum and the policies of Walnut Farm Montessori School.

    Requirements:

    • Experience working with young children
    • Outdoor Education experience is a plus
    • Love to work outside, gardening, exploring and supporting young children
    • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate
    • Must be at least 18 years old and comply with the licensing requirements in the State of Arkansas
    • Strong work ethic, a sense of humor and passion for respectfully supporting young children

    Compensation Commensurate with Experience

    Substitute:

    Hours will depend on need and substitutes availability. 

    Duties will include supporting staff and children in environments with children 18 months to elementary age.  

    • Must be at least 16 years old and comply with the requirements of the State of Arkansas
    • Strong work ethic, a sense of humor and passion for respectfully supporting young children.
