    Positions:

    Admissions Administrator

    Walnut Farm Montessori School, a non-profit, American Montessori Society accredited day school, currently serving children 18 months through Elementary, seeks an enthusiastic professional with experience in school admissions. In this position, the main responsibilities will be communication with potential families through phone conversations, tours, questionnaires and our enrollment process.

    This job is for you if you:

    • Have experience working in admissions at a school
    • Are skilled with Microsoft Office
    • Have knowledge of (or willing to learn) the Montessori method and what sets it apart from other learning methods
    • Can work with spreadsheets, analyze numbers, and do research.
    • Are organized and pay close attention to detail.
    • Possess excellent communication skills- Able to clearly describe and assist others in understanding our school policies, procedures, and Montessori.
    • Have a cheerful disposition- enjoy engaging with people of all ages
    • Love to collaborate, and you’re eager to work with dedicated colleagues to ensure the future of a school that is at once rare, inspired, and important.
    • Are flexible- you can work independently, and you’re able to pitch in as needed…however needed.
    • Want to be part of a dynamic community that not only teaches character, collaboration and kindness, but actually models these traits daily for the next generation.

    Specific responsibilities of the job include:

    • Assist with tours
    • Help families make informed decisions on school choice by openly communicating what we offer
    • Responsible for enrolling new families and communicating school policies, procedures and what to expect in their first weeks of attendance
    • Communication with families and prospective families: answer phones, communicate through email and other written communication, make appointments for interviews and tours
    • Help to update all forms and guides relative to enrollment and admissions
    • Maintain and update admission forms and student records on school’s data base
    • Maintains school records according to licensing guidelines for students
    • Stays up-to-date on childcare and school licensing requirements
    • Accept and process student applications and maintain all student files
    • Responsible for mailing and filing student documents and other files in their care
    • Handles all information request emails from website
    • Prepare enrollment projections and reports monthly for HOS
    • Support with Summer Program enrollment and some day-to-day duties

    Substitute:

    Hours will depend on need and substitutes availability. 

    Duties will include supporting staff and children in environments with children 18 months to elementary age.  

    • Must be at least 16 years old and comply with the requirements of the State of Arkansas
    • Strong work ethic, a sense of humor and passion for respectfully supporting young children.

    Compensation

    Commensurate with Experience

    Aftercare:

    Start date: August 7, 2023

    Hours: 3:00-5:30

      Duties will consist of ensuring the children get an afternoon snack, assisting with supervising indoor and outdoor activities, light cleaning, and enjoyment of working with children.  

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 16 years old and comply with the requirements of the State of Arkansas
    • Strong work ethic, a sense of humor and passion for respectfully supporting young children.

    Compensation

    Commensurate with Experience
