Development Coordinator

Walnut Farm Montessori School is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator (20 hours/week) to support our fundraising and community engagement efforts. This role helps plan and execute the Annual Fund campaign, our Gala, Day of Giving, and participation in NWA Gives, along with special events like Grandparents Day. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives. Responsibilities include donor communications, event logistics, tracking gifts and pledges, and collaborating with staff, volunteers, and families to build a strong culture of giving. Strong writing skills and comfort with donor databases or CRM tools are a plus. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship-building and wants to make a meaningful impact on a growing school community.

Technology Coordinator

Walnut Farm Montessori School is looking for a part-time Technology Coordinator (20 hours/week) to keep our school’s technology running smoothly. This role supports hardware and networking infrastructure, manages employee and classroom computers, and provides day-to-day troubleshooting for staff and students. The Coordinator also administers our Google Workspace and Microsoft Office environments and supports our Finalsite school website platform. We’re looking for someone with a solid technical foundation who can communicate clearly with non-technical staff and problem-solve independently. Experience supporting school or small-business IT environments is a plus. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, hands-on troubleshooting, and being a helpful resource across the whole school community.

Spanish Teacher

Walnut Farm Montessori School is seeking a part-time Spanish Teacher (10–15 hours/week) to teach Spanish to students ages 5–12 within our Montessori classrooms. The ideal candidate is a native/fluent Spanish speaker and skilled at engaging young learners through immersive, age-appropriate, and hands-on instruction. This role involves designing lessons that build vocabulary, conversational skills, and cultural awareness across multiple age groups and classroom levels. Experience teaching in a Montessori or similar child-centered environment is preferred but not required. We’re looking for someone patient, creative, and enthusiastic about language learning who can adapt teaching style to different developmental stages. This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who loves sparking curiosity about language and culture in young children.

Substitute Teachers

Walnut Farm Montessori School is building an on-call substitute teacher pool to support our classrooms as needs arise. Substitutes step in to maintain the rhythm and consistency of our Montessori environment, following existing routines with care and attention. We’re looking for individuals who are patient, humble, and genuinely child-centered in their approach to guiding young learners. Flexibility is essential, as availability may be needed on short notice throughout the school year. Prior experience in a Montessori setting is preferred, but a willingness to learn and respect our philosophy is equally important. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants a flexible role within a warm, community-oriented school.

Learning Specialist

Walnut Farm Montessori School is seeking a part-time Learning Specialist (20–30 hours/week) to support students, teachers, and families across our Montessori environment. This role includes administering and interpreting assessments, providing direct reading, tutoring, and skill-building instruction for students ages 4–12, and coaching teachers on learning strategies and accommodations. The Specialist manages referrals for outside evaluations, summarizes evaluation results, and communicates findings clearly with both parents and staff. Training or experience with WISC, MAP, Orton-Gillingham, and/or Lindamood-Bell approaches is preferred. We’re looking for someone knowledgeable, compassionate, and skilled at building trust with children who learn differently. This role is ideal for a learning specialist who wants to make a direct, hands-on difference in a collaborative, child-centered school community.

Classroom Assistant

Ideal candidates are committed to supporting children’s development and bring experience working patiently with curiosity, and academic growth in a Montessori environment at the toddler, primary, or elementary level.

Successful applicants work collaboratively under the direction of lead teachers to support children’s individual and small-group work, help maintain the prepared environment, and contribute to a calm, purposeful classroom culture. They are attentive to each child’s developmental needs, committed to the Montessori philosophy, and eager to grow as part of a passionate educational team.

Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to build warm, respectful relationships with children and work collaboratively with colleagues. A genuine enthusiasm for process-oriented learning and a commitment to each child’s unique developmental path are essential.

Elementary Teacher

WFMS is hiring a credentialed and experienced Montessori Lower Elementary teacher to guide children ages 6 to 9 through a dynamic, child-centered learning journey. The ideal candidate holds a recognized Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or MACTE) and brings proven experience fostering independence, curiosity, and academic growth in a prepared environment. The successful applicant is confident in leading a classroom with a focus on process, preparation for future learning, partnering with parents, and working collegially with peers. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a passionate team and support each child’s unique developmental path.
